Angular Advocate

Hey there, Angular enthusiasts! I’m thrilled to announce something exciting that I’ve been planning for a while now. I’ve decided to take on a unique challenge, one that involves rewriting my book, Angular Advocate, and doing it in a very public way! Let me explain. Back in the spring of 2018, a peculiar turn of events unfolded at my workplace. We realized that despite Angular being a significant part of our tech stack, our in-house developers needed more exposure and training. The idea of me training our team on Angular was proposed, and thus began my official journey as the Angular Advocate.

Here’s the Fun Part

I’ll be rewriting my Angular Advocate book, and I’ll do it transparently, posting each chapter on Medium as it’s completed. That’s right; you can follow along with me, chapter by chapter, as I dive deep into the intricacies of Angular development. We’ll traverse this road together, learning, growing, and sharing our insights.

Table of Contents

I will keep a running Table of Contents here to make it easy to jump to the completed chapters as they become available.

Chapter 0 — Introduction

Chapter 1 — Quick Introduction to TypeScript

Chapter 2 — A Gentle Introduction to Angular

Chapter 3 — Angular CLI Quick Reference

Chapter 4 — Code Free Angular Components

Chapter 5 — Guardians of the [Angular] Galaxy

Chapter 6 — Resolve or Die!

Special Notice

For those eager to get your hands on the full content, the existing version of the book is already available for purchase at AngularAdvocate.com. Rest assured, everyone who buys it from there will get the updated version when it’s finished. For everyone else, the chapters will be free for you to read on Medium until the book is fully complete.

About Angular Advocate

Angular Advocate is not a beginner’s guide to Angular. It’s a collection of essays meant for seasoned web developers who have some familiarity with Angular and want to dive deeper. It encapsulates my experiences and biases within the Angular ecosystem and illustrates solutions that have been successful for me and my team.

The catch? This book isn’t a one-size-fits-all Angular solution manual. It’s a narrative of my journey and my experiences, intended to provide you with valuable insights that will hopefully aid in your Angular development journey.

So, What’s Next?

So, here we are, at the beginning of this open journey, with each chapter promising to offer something new and intriguing. This venture is about more than just rewriting a book; it’s about creating a shared learning experience for all of us. I hope you’ll join me on this adventure and be a part of this unique process.

Stay tuned for the first chapter, and let’s navigate this Angular universe together! Happy reading!
